We are growing and looking for talented personnel to join our core team. We are looking for a hands-on Integration Engineer to play the important role of implementing integrations between rfxcel products and customer and trading partner systems. The candidate will have both external facing customer responsibilities as well as internal engineering responsibilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, entrepreneurial, methodical and process-oriented while battle tested through years of both product development and customer implementations. The candidate will need to work with cross functional teams including Professional Services, Development, QA, Systems and Support.

 

Responsibilities – What you will be doing

Integration Engineers rely on a diverse technical skill-set. Integration Engineers are not expected immediately to be masters of the full spectrum of technologies used, but are expected to quickly become technical gurus and masters of all skills required to implement rfxcel products for rfxcel customers. This is a customer-facing hands-on engineering job.

  • Plan and manage system-to-system integrations between the rfxcel products and external systems (customers’ systems and customers’ trading partners’ systems). The following are the key daily responsibilities for this position:
    • Engineering responsibilities
      • Write integration code using Python, Java, Java Script, JMeter, Selenium,
      • Write web services clients in Python and Java to call SAOP and REST web services
      • Use SQL to extract, transform and load data (ETL) from Python and Java programs
      • Install rfxcel products and integrate them with other system and trading partners using the Python and Java programs
      • Write Linux (shell scripts) and Windows scripts (batch scripts)
      • Install databases, application servers
      • Translate customer integration requirements into technical requirements using rfxcel’s products’ integration interfaces
      • Write data maps using XSLT
      • Configure integrations
      • Perform testing and troubleshooting
    • Customer implementation responsibilities
      • Attend customer meetings, educate them on rfxcel’s products’ integration interfaces and functional capabilities, receive customer requirements and schedules, provide status updates
      • Work on multiple customer projects simultaneously and move efficiently between different projects as the priorities change
      • Provide frequent status updates
      • Review customer’s technical integration specifications
      • Create data integration flow diagrams and related documents
      • Configure rfxcel products to meet the functional requirements including configuration of functional areas and technical areas (e.g. integration interfaces, integration maps, web services, transport protocols, data flows, etc.)
      • Provide on-going technical oversight during customer implementations, understand the implementation effort; communicate progress to customer and project manager
      • Provide demonstrations to clients throughout the project life-cycle
      • Manage customer escalations as necessary and drive issues to resolution
    • Interface with Professional Services, Engineering and Product Management teams
  • Maintain working proficiency in rfxcel products and technologies through self-directed and formal training
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including sales, support, validation, engineering, QA, and product management, to ensure successful completion of customer engagements
  • This role will need to work with the offshore team in India on daily-basis

Qualifications – What you will need for this position

  • Strong integration software development experience and technical skills at least 3 years is required in the following areas:
    • 2+ years of development experience is required in Python is required
    • Experience in Java
    • Write web service clients (both SOAP and REST) using Python – required
    • Use SQL for database queries and database updates – required
    • Linux and windows scripting – required
    • Web service testing tools – SOAP UI, Postman, etc. – required
    • Experience with automation tools – Selenium, JMeter, etc. – highly preferred
    • Experience with Web Sphere application server, DB2 database, MQ Series – highly preferred
    • GS1 EPCIS – highly preferred
    • Mule, Smooks, Camel, NiFi, Talend, Pentaho, Informatica, other integration frameworks/tools – highly preferred
    • EDI, IDOC, HL7, other integration data formats – preferred
    • Write XSLT maps – preferred
    • Set up AS2, SFTP, FTPS, FTP, etc. – preferred
  • 2+ years of customer--facing, hands-on recent Professional Services/Enterprise Product Implementation experience is required
    • Ability manage multiple competing priorities and ability is efficiently move from one task to another as priorities change – required
    • Methodical ability to manage many tasks without slipping the deadlines and without failing to deliver any tasks – required
    • Ability to send frequent status updates as tasks are completed and when tasks are affected due to the priority changes – required
    • Ability to assess the effort estimates and provide achievable delivery dates to meet customer expectations – required
    • Ability to manage customer expectations and deliverables – required
    • Must have “customer is right” attitude to manage customer escalations
    • Ability to set correct expectations for customers – required
    • Methodical to standardize processes – required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication – required
  • Must be able to spend substantial time with the offshore team on daily basis on phone
  • Experience in the following industries/domains is highly preferred:
    • Serialization, track and trace, pharmaceutical compliance reporting, pharmaceutical validations (Computer System Validations – CSV)
    • Supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, order management, manufacturing, inventory management, procurement
  • Experience with SaaS or B2B integrations is highly preferred
  • Experience with deployment architectures and middleware concepts
  • Ability to create product demonstrations based on client needs
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the big picture
  • Must be able to spend substantial time interfacing with the offshore team in India on daily-basis
  • Travel is required, including possibility of overseas travel – the candidate will need to visit rfxcel customers and/or customers’ trading partners
